How far do mods go? Options

Hi all, I am new to this forum and also to Mount & Blade, but I am very excited about mods and what you can do with them, how far you can modify the game.

Normaly I play MMO's and I played Darkfall for some time.

Now I played M&B Warband and was thrilled about the gameplay just awsome!! And you can also make mod's if you want.

My question is ... is it possible to make something that affecs the gameplay a bit. Like for instance is it possible to implement a staminabar (sprintbar) of some kind or make little adjustsments with blocking?

I know a little bit about scriping but I understand that this is far beyond my reach so I keep dreaming.....
